ok, so our sunrise session wasn't the day after the wedding, but 2 days after. Hey, all good brides and grooms and photographers need a days rest before a sunrise session : )

It was crazy windy that day; and the tide was pretty high, but in spite of it all, these two look great!

I have so many favorites from this session, but this one is at the top of the list : )

Thank you guys sooo sooo much for having me as your photographer! You were truly a pleasure to photograph and we all really enjoyed the engagement, wedding and day after sessions. I'm still holding out that we have a chance to go fishing!

So, as I was preparing to leave Hawaii for the mainland and my 6 month road trip, Trisha calls and showers me with compliments and asks me to photograph her wedding. Well, I am total sucker for praise, so I pushed my depature date back by a week and hung out to photograph a sexy nightime sesssion and beautiful wedding for these two.

We had a great time exploring all the different backgrounds at the Hilton. It is so much fun for me to go at night and see different light and different compositions.

Cause they are cool supermodels like that!

and because I am silly like that!!

Then we headed out to the beach and started to turn up the heat a little bit...

Trisha is one brave lady! You know I love a client who will do anything for a good photograph. And if that means tossing her shirt for a few hot shots on the beach, she isn't one to shy away. I really like this set Trisha and hope you do too!

Trisha and Tim were married just a few days after Valentine's Day. Trisha spent time getting fabulous at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, then the wedding party headed to Moli`i Gardens, a part of Kualoa Ranch.

After the ceremony, we had some time for portaits. We were able to spend time at the gardens, then stopped off at a few places on the drive back to the Hilton, including a cool looking store, the beach and some beautiful cliffs. It was great having some extra time for portraits with my bride and groom and with the wedding party. Enjoy!

Junko and Chad were married at the Honolulu Design Center and had an amazing meal planned at Stage Restaurant. The planning was done by the amazing Katy Castillo.

As many of you may know, I am currently traveling across the United States on a road trip with my dogs. Junko and Chad received their photographs quite a bit ago, but it is certainly a challenge finding internet on the road!

Get ready for quite a few updated here in the next couple of days as I take advantage of the free wi-fi in my first hotel room in quite a while.

Everyone gets a first look at Junko all dolled up.

These ladies were a ton of fun to photograph!

We only had a bit of time for portraits with just Junko and Chad, but made the best of the beautiful Halekulani Hotel.

The original plan was to have the ceremony on the rooftop, but the weather wasn't cooperating ; (

Katy was super resourceful and put together an amazing candlelit ceremony at the Cupola Theatre.

Although the entire day was great, the best best best part was the food. ok, that is maybe just my tastebuds talking, but my memory of how yummy the food was is still pretty strong. Chad is a chef himself, so they really wanted to food to be an important and unforgetable part of the day.

Dawn and Puna were married in January of this year at Luana Hills. They have the most beautiful views there, as you can see a bit later of the photographs from the ceremony.

What do you think, will Starbucks buy this from us for their new advertising campaign? It is usually either champagne or starbucks for the wedding morning : )

Derrick and Kim were married at the Hilton Hawaiian Village this winter (if there really is such a thing as 'winter' here in Hawaii : )

We were up and photographing by 5am if I remember correctly! A little coffe and a happy couple and we were good to go : )

There were so many beautiful details that Kim planned out for this day. I love the beading on her dress and shoes~

And then it was ceremony time! Derrick and Kim decided to have the wedding ceremony inside just in case the weather got loopy. They were able to incorporate beautiful flowers, candles and crystals into the ambiance.

Hello Kitty was the overriding theme of the day. Between you and me, Kim is a little obsessed with Hello Kitty....and I LOVE it! The first time we met, she had a hello kitty notepad and pencil, and the theme just continued into the wedding. Super fun!

After a quick break it was time for family and friends to eat, drink and be merry~

hmmnnn...that is a BIG piece of cake. These guys really made my day fun with all their silliness : )

Ann and Jennifer were married in a small private ceremony at the Iolani School. They flew in from New York to enjoy a bit of sunshine during the cold winter months, and a few close friends and family made the journey with them. Ann is a local girl so she was THRILLED to be back in sunny Hawaii for a couple of weeks : p

Ann and Jen's friend flew in to officiate the intimate ceremony for them. I love the way the light is shining in her eyes in this photograph.

Post ceremony it was a hug fest! Everyone was sharing the hug love, big smiles and all. They made my job easy : )

After some quick family portraits we headed off with just Ann and Jen. We hadn't walked 20 feet when I saw this beautiful light filtering through the trees. From the way these two are laughing, I guess a happy photographer equals happy clients....or happy clients equal a happy photographer...or both! : )

We practically had the whole place to ourselves, so explored the school grounds and stopped off at a few fun portrait locations. Who needs a studio when you live in Hawaii?!?!

This little window nook reminds me of a French cafe in the jungle...if there ever was such a thing : )

We had a lot of fun messing around, laughing, and getting some beautiful portraits!

I convinced Jen to do a little twirling for me, and captured some fun and silly images~

We met up with Lesha and Felipe last month for a maternity session through the organization Operation Love Reunited.

Felipe started off a bit nervous as a lot of guys do, but in the end he did a really great job. And check out Lesha's amazing smile! Some people are just born photogenic, and Lesha is one of them~

Chelsea and Abe were married at Lanikohonua on the west side of Oahu. It is a beautiful outdoor location right next door to the Ko'olina Beach Resort. We met the couple and their families at the hotel for some getting ready photographs and some group portraits.

one of my faves from the day. Chelsea and Abe's sons and daughter were the ring bearers and flower girl. I think I mentioned it when I posted their engagement photographs, but I will say again that these are the best kids ever! Not only were they in great moods all day and helping their parents, but they also loved to be in photographs : ) talk about making my job easy!

Of course, they were bribed with a trip to Disney Land ; p
